Adele H. Stamp Student Union - Center for Campus Life

Mission Statement: Our students matter. We celebrate and uplift their voices and unique experiences, facilitate community engagement and foster a sense of belonging to help strengthen resilience, embrace opportunities, and create mutual/collective empowerment.

The University of Maryland is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all, regardless of immigration status. Immigrant, undocumented students, DACA and TPS recipients, as well as student’s part of mixed-immigration status families are all welcomed. These students often face barriers and challenges as they navigate campus policies that require support services that address their unique needs. As such, the Office of Multicultural Involvement & Community Advocacy (MICA), the Asian American Studies Program (AAST), The Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) and the Engagement Office partnered with other UMD departments and allies to increase institutional support for undocumented students, providing training and advising related to financial aid, residency reclassification, and admissions.
