The 2022 Spirit of Maryland Award

line

The Spirit of Maryland Award is presented annually, in lieu of a traditional Homecoming King or Queen honoree, to two members of the senior class who through their achievements have most exemplified the "spirit" of the University of Maryland. Criteria for the award include outstanding scholarship, leadership, campus involvement, community service, and communication skills. A committee composed of faculty, staff, and alumni interviews students who are advanced to the final round of the application process.

Kassidy Jacobs (Bree-ah-nuh Mur-cah-dough) is a Government & Politics and Criminology & Criminal Justice double-major from Baltimore, Md. She is the Vice-Chair of Student Services for the BSOS Dean's Student Advisory Council. She is also the Chair of the Student Affairs Committee in the UMD Senate and also serve on the Senate Executive Committee. She has been involved with Terps for Change for four years, volunteering in the College Park community.
