Activation Academy

About the Program

"Everyone around you has a story the world needs to hear" --Dave Isay, Founder of StoryCorps

What is the story of your community? What stories are around you that you haven’t gotten to listen to yet? What’s your story? What story do you want to tell 10 years from now?

Through the art of listening and storytelling, Activation Academy focuses on understanding, engaging with, and leading in communities. In partnership with Good Neighbor Day, you’ll explore our local community of College Park while collecting and crafting compelling narratives from students, alumni, and community leaders using the StoryCorps app. You’ll be able to apply conversations and activities as your write the next chapter in your own story.

Activation Academy is free of cost, open to all students, and takes place April 12th-13th on and around campus.

Program Details

Activation Academy takes place Friday, April 12 from 5:00-7:00 pm AND Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 8:30-3:00pm. Participants should attend both parts of the program.
