Though not all Terps will be gathering together in College Park this year, we’ll still share our Maryland spirit! Celebrate a week of Homecoming traditions with streamable performances, special guests, prizes, and a gridiron showdown. STAMP will be hosting a few events in person and safety will be our first priority. Keep reading to learn more, and to sign up to participate in individual STAMP Homecoming events.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 26

 

Homecoming Spirit Box

Dates: 10/26-10/31 (until supplies run out)

Stop by Studio A during Homecoming week to pick up a DIY spirit box! The box will include terp-themed crafts and activities including a turtle keychain craft, coloring pages, UMD-themed play-doh, a DIY Pennant, and more!

Please note these are first come first serve and only available for UMD Students.

SEE & The Stamp Presents: MOVIE MONDAY: Invisible Man

In the Colony Ballroom of STAMP & Online      7pm-9pm 

Kick off Homecoming & Halloween Week with the new thriller Invisible Man under the stars or in the comfort of your own home. When Cecilia's, portrayed by Elizabeth Moss, abusive ex takes his own life and leaves her his fortune, she suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of coincidences turn lethal, Cecilia works to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see.

This is open to UMD students only and you must pre-register for this event (either virtual or in person). This event has the possibility of cancelling its outdoor portion due to COVID restrictions or weather. Follow @thestampumd or @see_umd for more information.

 Homecoming Sidewalk Art Competition

McKeldin Mall  12pm-6pm

Bring your artistic talents to the McKeldin Mall and decorate your own sidewalk square! The theme is UMD Pride: Homecoming 2020
Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, and designs will be photographed and shared on the Homecoming website.

Homecoming Friday with STAMP

In STAMP and Virtual / 4pm-11pm

Join The Stamp for an event that is FREE all night. Start off Homecoming Weekend by visiting The Stamp to take a picture in the Homecoming Photobooth, then create a new cuddly friend by stuffing your own HOMECOMING MASCOT with Build a Bae in the Grand Ballroom. Finish the evening by playing a round of Drag Bingo with a Surprise Guest from RuPaul’s Drag Race with prizes like Airpods, UMD gear, Bluetooth speakers, and more! All events are open to UMD Community only (have an @umd.edu email address).

 

Build a Bae

In STAMP and Virtual / 4pm-9:30pm

Create a new cuddly friend by stuffing your own HOMECOMING MASCOT with Build a Bae in the STAMP. All participants must sign up in advance. Limit to 100 guests per hour. Stuff your new friend in Stamp or take it back to your Resident Hall!  A few mail options will be available for those students' virtual learning.

TerpZone Homecoming Football Game Watch Party

Come join your fellow Terrapins in support of Terp Football! TerpZone will be showing the Homecoming Football Game on the projector screens on Friday, October 30th. We will be having a raffle for awesome prizes. Coverage will begin at 7 PM. Students can sign up individually or in groups of up to 4. There will be seating provided but we encourage you all to bring blankets, lawn chairs, etc. in order to enhance your watching experience. SEE & The Stamp Presents: Flashback Flix with Insidious

In the Colony Ballroom of STAMP and Virtual / 10pm-12am 

After the Foootball game, grab your popcorn and your friends to watch the Insidious (2010) .  A family looks to prevent evil spirits from trapping their comatose child in a realm called The Further. This is open to UMD students only and you must pre-register for this event (either virtual or in person). Spirit Contest

Homecoming “Office” Decorating Competition 

Show your UMD Spirit on your Zoom Calls! Use UMD themed backgrounds! Wear your UMD Spirit Gear! Show your Creativity and snap a photo for a campus wide spirit contest. There will be a Student Organization winner and UMD Department Winner.  Voting will begin on October 26 and winners will be announced on October 30!!
