GSL Community Chat

Join GSL for a monthly community hour to connect and engage with your fellow Grad Terps!

We know it's been tough not being able to be in physical community with your fellow GradTerps. Use this space to meet other students as you would in a student lounge. It's a place where you can share the latest shows/podcasts that you've enjoyed and hear what other people have been up to. We'll play music and help keep the convo flowing. Show up as you are in this safe and supportive space.

When: third Thursday each month | 6 pm - 7 pm

Where: via Zoom

Game Nights

Game nights are held every first Thursday and third Friday of the month. All GradTerps are welcome to join both sessions every month or however your schedule allows.

GSL Game Nights are a chance to meet other grads and have some fun along the way. At GSL, we're able to share and play various Jackbox games—specifically, party packs 3 & 4. You will need to be on zoom and have another device that allows you to open a web browser (e.g. phone, laptop, tablet) to participate.

Other options include charades or other online games (e.g. among us) that allow group play. This is meant as a dedicated time for you all to decompress from work and have fun with your peers. So if you have suggestions for other games we can play, email them to us at

GSL City Meetup

GSL organizes various city meetups in the DMV area for GradTerps. These are mostly free, Metro-accessible events. In the past, we had meetups to visit DC museums, ice skating in College Park, watch a show at the Clarice Performing Art Center, attend free events at Kennedy Center, enjoy happy hour at a local Brewery, etc. You're welcome to bring your family and friends to join in the fun!

COVID-19, has changed our in-person gatherings. GSL continues to organize meetup events like this on campus. Groups typically comprise 4-5 students + one GSL staff member. All attendees are required to wear a face covering and follow physical distancinng precautions.
