Transfer2Terp is a learning community for students transferring to UMD from Maryland's Community Colleges.

Learning Community Registration for the Fall 2015 semester will open Monday, July 13, 2015.

To apply, please do the following:

1. Using your university directory ID and password, register with Orgsync. This online network connects UMD students and faculty with over 800 different student organizations, groups and university departments. 

2. Visit Transfer and Off-Campus Student Life's Orgsync page. The application and additional information about the Transfer2Terp course will be available here.

3. Confirmation of your application will be sent shortly after your application, and you will be notified about your enrollment by Program Coordinator Keya Burks. If you have any questions or would like additional information, please email her at kburks1@umd.edu

T2T Learning Community: Open to students transferring from MD Community Colleges to UMD

Members of the T2T Learning Community will...

  • Enroll your first semester in EDCP 489, a 3-credit, upper-level course designed to translate your previous success into a strong start at Maryland. From Maryland faculty, staff, and current transfer students, you’ll learn the tools, tips, and tricks to maximize your Maryland Experience.
  • Become an expert in knowing where to find and how to utilize campus resources, internships/jobs, activities, and other opportunities
  • Enjoy the support and encouragement of your learning community peers alongside FREE events, leadership development, and executive coaching sessions.

You're new to Maryland, not to college: Join T2T to apply your strengths at UMD and become a successful Terp!

T2T Student Organization

T2T Student Organization: Open to all students transferring to UMD

During the 2012-13 academic year, students in the Transfer2Terp Learning Community, as well as other transfer students, established the T2T Student Organization. The T2T Student Organization is open to all students at UMD.

T2T Student Organization Mission Statement:

The Transfer2Terp Student Organization is a supportive transfer community focused on succeeding in and out of the classroom and improving the transfer student experience at the University of Maryland, College Park.
