Welcome

Transfer2Terp Learning Community
Applying Your Strengths at the University of Maryland and Beyond
EDCP 489-1501
3 credits

The primary objective of this course is for incoming transfer students to identify their greatest talents and strengths and learn how to apply these strengths in learning both in and outside of the classroom. This course relies heavily on the notion that one must discover oneself before realizing how one’s talents and strengths will empower academic, personal and professional success.  Through the Transfer2Terp Learning Community experience, students will:

  • Recognize their talents and strengths through analysis, dialogue and experiential learning
  • Utilize the various Adele H. Stamp Student Union Center for Campus Life and University resources to improve their professional network and their ability to articulate their mission and vision
  • Demonstrate an ability to apply models and theories to explain the transfer student experience while effectively and collaboratively working with others
  • Create a plan for their personal wellness reflecting discussions of various campus resources and participation in campus events

You're new to Maryland... not to college.

Join T2T to apply your strengths at UMD and become a successful Terp!
