Black Student Involvement

Mission Statement

Black Student Involvement supports and creates community through our advisement of students and student organizations, who self-identify as being a part of the African Diaspora, and promotes opportunities for leadership and civic engagement. The unit advocates for the educational, social, and cultural needs of students through peer and faculty-staff mentoring.

For more information about getting involved, feel free to contact Aurin Agramonte, the Graduate Coordinator for Black Student Involvement and Community Advocacy, at aagramo1@umd.edu or 301-314-8341.
