About Interfaith Programs and Spiritual Diversity

Interfaith Programs and Spiritual Diversity is a joint initiative of the Multicultural Involvement and Community Advocacy (MICA) unit and the Memorial Chapel that seeks to provide resources for the UMD community to engage in interfaith collaboration, spiritual development and learning. We provide a number of services to the UMD campus, including:

  • Programs and discussions on topics of religion and spirituality.
  • Advising on religious and spiritual diversity issues.
  • Support and leadership development for student organizations and individuals.
  • Field trips to local places of worship for interfaith dialogue and learning.
  • Meditation programs and labyrinth walks in the Garden of Reflection and Remembrance.
