The Black Monologues is designed to give students, staff, and faculty an opportunity to share their stories through the performance of original monologues, while educating the broader campus community on institutional issues and experiences affecting African-descended members of the University of Maryland community. The program will give audience members an opportunity to think critically and challenge their individual biases, while dispelling stereotypes and hopefully stimulating important dialogue surrounding critical issues of identity, equity, retention, and social justice.

The 2017 show will take place on Fri., Feb. 24th at 8:00pm in the Hoff Theater.
