Description of the Program
Turtle Camp is a four-day leadership program for incoming students (both first-year and transfer) that will take place Sunday, August 24, 2014 - Wednesday, August 27, 2014. Approximately 120 students will have the opportunity to connect with other incoming students who are passionate about leadership, visit various sites, and learn more about what it means to practice leadership. There will be guest speakers, both large and small group activities, and low-ropes course elements. Turtle Camp is facilitated by the Peer Leadership Council and Maryland Adventure Program Trip Leaders, trained groups of undergraduate students who design and implement leadership programs for their peers.

Turtle Camp is sponsored through a collaboration between Leadership & Community Service-Learning and the Maryland Adventure Program.
