Income Tax Assistance

Tax Preparation Assistance Program (TPAP)

The Graduate School provides in-person income-tax preparation, formerly the Tax Assistance Program (TAP), services for graduate students.  In-person income-tax preparation assistance through TPAP is meant to help guide students through Glacier Tax Prep: http://apps.gradschool.umd.edu/intltax/. TPAP can also answer any basic tax questions about completing their tax return.  The Graduate School offers this program through a collaboration between the Graduate School, the Robert H. Smith School of Business and Terp Tax. Terp Tax is a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) chapter run by undergraduate and graduate students from the Robert H. Smith Business School with Sam Handwerger, CPA as their faculty leader from the Robert H. Smith School of Business.

If you have questions about TPAP, please contact The Graduate School at gradschool@umd.edu or 301-405-3644.
