Counseling Center

Counseling Center

The Counseling Center provides comprehensive support services that promote the personal, social, and academic success of UMD students. Consultation and referral services also are available to UMD faculty, staff, parents, and guardians. Their confidential and culturally sensitive services include individual and small-group counseling, accessibility and disability services, learning assistance services, and the testing office.

Currently registered graduate students are eligible for short-term group, individual, and couples counseling. The maximum number of individual and couples sessions is 8 per 12-month period. Former clients who wish to return for subsequent individual counseling may do so one year from the date of their last counseling session. There is no limit to the number of group sessions used.
