Each Fall and Spring semester, Veteran Student Life hosts an orientation exclusively for incoming student veterans, including freshmen, transfer, and graduate student veterans. During this event, we kindly ask for you to bring your DD 214 or proof of military service (e.g., CAC) for verification purposes.


Veteran and Military-Connected Students are encouraged to register for the Veteran and Military-Connected Student Orientation which is scheduled for Saturday, August 3, 2019 at


The program includes guided campus tours led by fellow student veterans, as well presentations from the VA Certifying Official, Financial Aid Officer, the Health Center, the Career Center, and many more campus representatives covering topics such as VA benefits, scholarships, community service, and adapted services for student veterans. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Veterans and military-connected students are allowed to bring guests.


Immediately following the on-campus orientation you will have the choice to go on a free whitewater paddling adventure which includes two options - a day trip whitewater rafting experience or an overnight whitewater rafting and kayaking experience. Space is limited so make sure you RSVP at by Thursday, July 25, 2019.
